What Would Happen if the NBA Did a 30-Team Playoffs?

The NBA announced their plans to bring basketball back, so that got me thinking what if the NBA did a 30-team playoffs. I simulated the playoffs using nbagamesim.com and here are the results. The seeding was determined by the current NBA standings. Don't forget to watch the NBA's return on July 31! The surprise team of this bracket is the five-seeded Kings, the Kings upset every team they played excluding the Celtics. The Kings barely beat the Nets without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in seven games. The Celtics swept the Kings in the Finals. Kemba Walker wins Finals MVP after scoring 38 points in game four. The teams that would choose this playoff setup over the NBA's 22-team playoff would

NBA Awards Predictions

MVP Who is Going to Win: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks Who Deserves to Win: Lebron James, Lakers Why: Giannis was as dominant as ever this past season but the fact that Lebron James is playing the way he is at age 35 gives him the upper hand. The Third Very Unlikely Candidate: Kawhi Leonard, Clippers Rookie of the Year Who is Going to Win: Ja Morant, Grizzlies Who Deserves to Win: Ja Morant, Grizzlies Why: Ja Morant played in way more games than Zion Williamson. The Third Very Unlikely Candidate: R.J. Barrett, Knicks Coach of the Year Who is Going to Win: Nick Nurse, Raptors Who Deserves to Win: Nick Nurse, Raptors Why: After winning the Finals last year Kawhi Leonard left the Raptors and everybody thought the Raptors were one and done, but the Raptors proved us wrong. And a team

Who is Better Jordan or James?

In the basketball world there is a big debate. Who is the greatest of all time [G.O.A.T.]. Michael Jordan or Lebron James, or as they’re known in the basketball world, MJ or The King. It is the only argument you can bring up to get the calmest of James or Jordan fans to lash out. Jordan and James are both jaw-dropping athletes but only one is superior. Throughout James’s career he has won three NBA Finals, three Final’s MVP’s, the Rookie of the Year award, and four MVP awards. Jordan won six NBA Finals, six Final’s MVP awards, the Rookie of the Year award, and five MVP awards. Sure Jordan has more accomplishments but James can beat Jordan in every other

What I Learned From the Last Dance Documentary

ESPN released a documentary highlighting the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls. In the nineties, the Bulls were the dominant team, with hall of famers [HOF's] Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Robert Parish [96-97], and Michael Jordan. In 1997 general manager Jerry Krause announced that HOF coach Phil Jackson would not be returning, this sent the Bulls franchise into a frenzy. Michael Jordan said that he would not play for a coach besides Jackson. If losing Jackson wasn't enough they were going to lose the face of the franchise. Phil Jackson knew that this was the Bulls last chance to get a sixth ring, so he handed each player a packet the title; "Last Dance". Now that you're all caught up with the back

What Would Have Happened in the NBA Playoffs

WEST Round 1 [1] Lakers vs. [8] Grizzlies; G1, Lakers 114 - Grizzlies 112, G2, Lakers 113 - Grizzlies 99, G3, Lakers 100 - Grizzlies 120, G4, Lakers 102 - Grizzlies 112, G5, Lakers 105 - Grizzlies 131, G6, Lakers 120 - Grizzlies 102, G7, Lakers 109 - Grizzlies 97. The Lakers survive a brutal 7-game series and advance.
